Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to Nohmad portable EV chargers purchased through authorised Nohmad sales channels.

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Warranty Coverage Period

Nohmad portable EV chargers are covered by a 24-month voluntary warranty from the date of original purchase.

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

2. What This Warranty Covers

Subject to the terms of this policy, this warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use, including:

  • failure of electronic components, including the control board and switching components
  • defects in the charging cable or connector not caused by external damage, misuse, or abnormal use
  • software or firmware faults that materially affect core charging functionality

3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, improper handling, improper storage, or abnormal use
  • cosmetic wear and tear, including scratches, scuffs, dents, discolouration, and fading, where this does not affect core functionality
  • damage caused by power surges, lightning, fire, water ingress beyond the product's rated specification, or use on damaged, unsafe, unsuitable, or non-compliant electrical circuits
  • damage resulting from failure to follow product instructions or safety warnings
  • damage caused by unauthorised repair, modification, tampering, disassembly, or alteration of the charger, enclosure, wiring, firmware, plug system, or accessories
  • faults caused by accessories, adapters, extension leads, or third-party components not supplied or approved by Nohmad
  • any issue to the extent it was caused by external factors unrelated to a defect in the Nohmad product

4. Conditions of Use

To maintain eligibility under this voluntary warranty, the charger must be used in accordance with the product instructions and safety guidance.

This includes:

  • use only with compatible outlets and supply arrangements
  • operation within the specified electrical limits for the product
  • use on a circuit that is safe and compliant with applicable electrical requirements
  • proper handling, storage, and care consistent with the product documentation

For 15A and 32A configurations, Nohmad recommends that the relevant circuit and outlet be checked by a licensed electrician before use.

Unauthorised modification, opening of the housing, alteration of wiring, firmware changes, or installation of non-Nohmad components may void this voluntary warranty to the extent that such conduct caused or contributed to the fault or damage.

5. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, contact Nohmad support via the Contact page or support@nohmad.io and provide:

  • proof of purchase
  • product serial number
  • a description of the issue
  • clear photographs or video of the issue where relevant
  • details of the circumstances of use, where reasonably requested

Nohmad may require the product to be returned or made available for inspection and testing before the claim is approved.

6. Warranty Remedies

If Nohmad confirms that a defect is covered by this voluntary warranty, Nohmad may, at its option and to the extent permitted by law:

  • repair the product
  • replace the product
  • provide a refurbished replacement of equivalent function and value
  • refund the purchase price

For approved warranty claims, Nohmad will provide instructions regarding return shipping and handling.

Replacement products or repaired products may be supplied with new or refurbished parts of equivalent performance.

7. Timeframes

Nohmad aims to complete an initial claim assessment within 3 business days of receiving all reasonably required information.

If a repair, replacement, or other remedy is approved under this warranty, Nohmad will aim to process it within 7 to 10 business days, subject to stock availability, service requirements, and shipping location.

These timeframes are indicative only and may vary.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
